Urbanflow Tech Demo

Where and When: Cisco Embedded System, 2012
Result: Functioning proof-of-concept for networked bus shelter information system

Urbanflow is Urbanscale's concept for a network of situated urban information systems. The proof-of-concept we built for the City of Chicago was designed to be installed in bus shelters throughout the city, and provided access to localized maps with data layers such as nearby shopping, cultural attractions, and events, customized point-to-point routing, and real-time transit information.

Working on a small team, I helped define the scope of the proof-of-concept through the creation of likely use-cases, provided guidance on overall UX and interface choices, and implemented a real-time bus arrival countdown clock by integrating with data from the Chicago Transit Authority.
